I’m a dance instructor at DanceLife and I met Larry when he joined our studio in September, 2008. My immediate – and lasting – impression was that Larry was willing to do whatever it took to help increase revenue to the studio, build his own private student base, and continually improve his own dancing by studying and practicing.
He’s an extremely hard worker, usually arriving at the studio one to two hours prior to opening to study DVD’s, practice dance steps, and/or work on choreography. He made himself available to practice with me and other instructors and assisted us in our dancing in any way he could. He led DVIDA teaching sessions to prepare us for certification and coached us on the finer points of the DVIDA syllabus.
His students liked the combination of humor and common sense Larry used while teaching, and he had good success in building up his student base quickly. We often taught group classes together and I thoroughly enjoyed team teaching with him; the classes were not only fun for the students but for us as well, and we received excellent feedback from our group attendees.
Larry promoted the studio everywhere he could, attending charitable events around town and dancing socially every chance he had. He contributed ideas for how to bring additional revenue into the studio and offered to do lessons on weekends at a reduced rate in order to create traffic and produce additional sales.
